Altair Nanotechnologies (Nasdaq: ALTI) reported earnings for quarter ended Sept. 30 2009 today. The result was a net loss of $3.3M or $0.03 per share on revenue of $1.7M and expenses of $5.9M. Compared with results during the same time last year, revenue remained basically constant $1.7M ‘09 vs $1.8M ‘08. However, Altair cut expenses by nearly half $5.9M ‘09 vs $11.1M ‘08.

Headwaters’ Earnings Dissapoint

Learning Markets reports that Headwaters, Inc. announced earnings below analyst expectations. Street consensus was $0.02 per share actual earnings was a loss of $0.40 per share. This figure compares with earnings of $0.24 per share at the same time last year. With respect to long term forecasts, Headwaters projects 0.0% growth over the next five years.
