Major Movers: NANO & ACCL

Today had two major movers. To the upside Accelrys (NASDAQ: ACCL) +10.56% and on the downside Nanometrics (NASDAQ: NANO) -14.45%. Accelrys made its largest gain since July while Nanometrics gave up some of its recent run up. Overall Nanometrics is still up almost 50% in the last five days.
Boeing to Present at AIChE Conference

Aerospace giant Boeing (NYSE: BA) will present at this years AIChE Conference on November 12. In a presentation titled, “Utilization of Molecular Simulations in Aerospace Materials: Simulation of Thermoset Resin/Graphite Interactions” (a mouthful for sure), Boeing representative Andrea R. Browning Ph.D. will discuss the effectiveness of software modeling to explore relationships between monomer structure and bulk properties.
Boeing uses Accelrys (NASDAQ: ACCL) Material Studio for this type of modeling.

Accelrys Announces Date of Q2 Financial Results

Accelrys will announce earnings for its Q2 2010 on Thursday November 5 after market close. Earnings release will be followed by a conference call.
